We offer many different types of paper, however for ease we have curated a few favorites to give you a sense of what we offer in our shop. Polar Matte

Red River Paper's Polar Matte raises the bar for imaging excellence. This paper brings you professional quality in every sense of the meaning - from the coating to the base stock, Polar is the go-to photo-matte when you want the best. Polar Matte features a beautiful soft white printing surface with outstanding ink holdout capabilities. Polar Matte is acid-free and is available in both 60lb and 88lb. The 88lb is preferred for a firm feel, but only goes up to 17 x 25 sheets.

PRO LUSTER

Preferred for photography

With a popular E-type luster surface, Epson Ultra Premium Luster Photo Paper will provide images that mimic the look of traditional silver halide prints. This polyethylene-coated RC base will also deliver outstanding color saturation for vivid prints, and it features a basis weight of 240 gsm as well as a thickness of 10 mil. The paper will dry instantly for immediate handling, offers an opacity of 97%, and a brightness of 97%. Additionally, it features a gloss level of 16% at 60°.

aurora art white

Made in the USA using 100% cotton, Aurora Art White brings elegance and nuance to your photography and art prints. This acid-free paper features a pleasing white tone, smooth surface, and minimal optical brightener content. At 300gsm weight and 18 mil thickness, Aurora White feels sturdy and professional and can easily handle heavy ink coverage. Aurora is 100% fiber made from cotton linters. These linters are considered "recovered fibers" by the EPA. By using linters, Aurora production is putting to use what would have become waste.

SOMERSET VELVET

Preferred for fine art watercolor or illustration reproductions

This textured paper favored by artists and is milled by the St. Cuthberts Mill in Somerset, England. It is an acid-free, 100% cotton, single-side coated paper showing a natural white finish with a slightly textured matte surface that has a soft velvet-like feel. A high-quality, mould-made paper, it is ideal for fine art reproductions.

ilford smooth rag

This 100% Cotton fourdriner-made rag paper has no optical brighteners and the longevity, image stability and a clean matte surface. Smooth Cotton Rag is offered as a great choice for crisp detail, with a high color consistency and gamut. At 310gsm, it’s one of our thicker papers, and from a reliable company that has been in the industry since 1879.

HAHNEMUEHLE BARYTA

Photo Rag Baryta Paper from Hahnemuhle features a 100% cotton base with a very finely textured gloss surface finish. The paper also contains barium sulphate to further enhance the density, color gamut, color gradation, and sharpness while maintaining the feel and quality of a traditional paper. It features a basis weight of 315 gsm, a thickness of 15.4 mil, a whiteness of 91%, and opacity of 97%, and is both instant drying and water resistant. The paper is also archival with no optical brightening agents (OBA) along with being acid free and calcium carbonate buffered.

ART matte Canvas

Art Matte Canvas is a Polyester/Cotton blend Canvas, 17 mil thick, with a bright white finish (95% brightness rating), and coated for use with inkjet printers. This acid-free canvas is great for stretching and is water resistant. The brighteners used in this canvas allow for some of the whitest whites in canvas media. Can be stretched on 3/4” (studio) and 1 1/2” (gallery) stretcher bars.
